Hatchling IRC is a simple IRC client written in AutoHotkey (AHK_basic).
Many of the features that we'd like to put in to Hatchling are a mixture
of ideas that are inspired by Irssi, Pidgin, and the hope that everything
in the IRC client can be configured in one easy-to-edit config file. If
you're part of the AutoHotkey community, feel free to contribute to this
project so that it ends up being pretty friggin awesome.
From Cameron: In addition, I have my own little features that I want to
throw in, but I plan on doing this in a way that all of my crazy features
will be disabled in a default install of Hatchling, or by clearing the
config file. In the end, a blank install of Hatchling should give you the
simplest IRC client possible, with no bells or whistles.
Also, because we want to avoid feature-creep, some feature requests will
be automatically rejected. Already in this list are:
- Edits to the config file using the Hatchling GUI
(everyone already has a text editor, just use that instead)
