Hide 'user manual' and 'developer manual' from the mir website #137
Comments
@GAN-Canonical Hi, thanks for reporting this. We were planning to move docs to this site by moving all documentation to discourse. Would you be able to help or point me to whoever is in charge of maintaining Mir docs? Thanks! |
Ok thanks, I see the ongoing discussion. But is it wise to hide these manuals? The user won't find any information on MIr until we finish the integration? |
I have raised the same concern. However, the information does exist in the Mir source from which these pages are generated (if one looks hard enough). It has been argued that the mismatched "doc style" is more important. 🤷♂️ |
@carkod @AlanGriffiths I don't know when was the last time we updated these docs - but independently of that, due to how they look - they shouldn't be in the main menu I want to hide both 'user manual' and 'developer manual' tabs from the navigation menu - I don't want to erase the pages |
I'm good with removing the links in the navigation menu. |
Does the website need a poke before this takes effect? |
The cache needs a poke, it will invalidate with time: https://mir-server.io/?nocache |
@AlanGriffiths @Saviq apologies, the website did also need a poke, I pushed the changes live about an hour ago. |
@sowasred2012 thanks! But please, can we move Ubuntu Frame to the left? Before Tutorials (sorry, it looks like I didn't request this at the beginning ..... ) |
Well, this has already been merged. Can you open a new issue? |
Please, since we haven't updated the doc style and content, we need to hide both options:
'user manual' and 'developer manual' from the mir website
