WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-1; inotifywait $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR; ubuntu-frame-osk & pluma
# in another terminal
WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-1 mir_demo_server

Notice that the OSK flashes and never comes back. It must be startup race of some kind.
