Hello! Trying the Canary image for the first time now, I'm giving the new subiquity-based installer a go.
My use case is usually the following: I'm preparing a bunch of laptops to lend away at an association, with people give back a few months later; rince and repeat. To help with the setup, and since all users can personalize their laptops about as they wish too (naming, language preferences, etc), I tend to install Ubuntu in OEM mode first through Ventoy and a preseed file, with full disk encryption using a temporary password, and setting up a few applications such as a OpenVPN client and a Thunderbird mail account; then I handle the devices over.
At this moment in time, it seems the new installer does not support booting in OEM mode. When doing so, I am greeted by the regular user session. I have not seen any documentation about the preseed possibilities. From a few tests done on the server variant using cloud-init, I also have the impression that OEM mode and LUKS just are not supported by subiquity at all yet… so this might not be a trivial issue.
