Datepicker not supporting the date format other than "dd/MM/yyyy" #47

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Go to Datepicker code and change the format to any other standard format
Click on datepicker and it doesnot come up
it shows unable to parse the date

Expected behavior
Datepicker should support all standard date formats
