Any tips/suggestions/recommendations regarding uploading a production-read parameter file?

Having an issue with the same thing. Maybe add it to your set :linked_files, [fetch(:app_path) + '/config/parameters.yml'] and upload it manually?

@alister, the solution from @leevigraham works for now - a capistrano plugin for managing these kinds of files would be nice if someone could find the time 😉
