I can't see the layer attribute table

I installed cartoview on my PC. I loaded a shapefile and created and saved a map. When I go to "View Map", going to "Layers"; I select the layer, corresponding to the loaded shapefile and go to "Open attribute table", I can't see the layer's attribute table
What could be the problem?
