Just got a SuperCard miniSD for my GameBoy Micro and the Windows program called Super Card that patches .gba files so that you can save states and interact with the SuperCard in-game fails to patch FAT. I've tried 1.3.0 RC1 with and without kit, running Super Card as an administrator. I've got full permissions to the files and all other .gba I've tried seem to work fine. Running Super Card 2.71 and firmware 1.85
I don't know what causes the problem, but it might be that Super Card anticipates a .gba that's excactly 4, 8 or 16mb.
FAT runs fine without being patched but SuperCard miniSD has to create save-state files, it doesn't appear to be able to use normal save functions for roms, and patch the .gba to allow for the save-state shortcut. So I can create music just not save it.
