A fleet manager builds a fleet in the CCSApp by adding cars to and removing cars from the fleet. The (static and dynamic) information of a car is made available by a connected car system provided by each car. The fleet manager views a fleet overview and the car status including rental information for each car being part of the fleet. Based on the history of the fleet information, the fleet manager can conduct analytics.
A customer rents cars for a time period. A customer views an overview of all their rentals including the brand and model of the cars. The (static and dynamic) information of a rented car is made available by a connected car system provided by each car. A customer grants access to a trunk opener to open and close a rented car’s trunk for a specific period of time. A trunk opener or customer opens and closes a car’s trunk.
