It would be cool if the front-end could show the number of packages that apply to each filter on the search results page, next to the options. e.g. "AWS CDK (567)" "CDK8s (78)" and so on.

This will certainly be a fun / interesting challenge to tackle. There are quite a few ways we could go about this, and my initial findings are that this feature will pose some pretty difficult UX scenarios to solve for.

I'll try to find some time to list out more potential solutions and their drawbacks. I think our most viable option at this time is to only show static counts irrespective of the current filter set, with the main drawback being that it won't reflect the current results set.
