Currently, we have version 1.2.0 installed, but on pypi.python.org it says the latest version is 1.0.8. Should we go to 1.0.8?

I'm in the process of moving everything to work as a dual-codebase, working under both Python 2 and Python 3
(this also drops support for Python 2.5, so Python 2.6 is the minimum version required).

This happens in the master (development) branches in the repositories for celery, kombu, billiard and py-amqp.

You must have installed py-amqp from git, and you should probably revert back to 1.0.x for now (even though I don't think 1.2.x is broken or buggy)
