The comments mention a TODO about VSS-forgery.

One attack that is known when the broadcast channel implementation is flawed is https://www.jcraige.com/vss-forgery.

This seems to hold whenever the broadcast channel can manipulate messages for some users.

@nikkolasg does this hold for:

Using a smart contract as a broadcast channel?
Using some sort of shared storage with guaranteed same view for everyone as a broadcast channel?

How about a p2p case? Sounds problematic there.
