Change Translate default language

Any way to change the default language for Translate? It's defaulting from English to Russian. Can we change the default destination language?

@xomikronx hello! Yes, you can change your country in settings and it will change your default target language in translate and default target currency in converter.

My country settings is set to US. It's still target language is defaulting to Russian.

I'm on Mac 10.12.2.

@xomikronx than it is weird:) What phrase do you try to translate? And from which language? What is detected language in your case? I suppose problem not with the target language, but with the detected language of your input.

Any phrase applies. The detected language (US) is correct. It is only the target language that I would like to change the default for. Right now, default is Russian.

@xomikronx ok, now I see. Let me explain how it works now: there is a list of languages (eng, rus, spanish, etc) and Russian is second in this list. If detected language is the same as your default language (which depends on the country from settings), then next language from this list is used (English is your default language so Russian is used).

I'm thinking about adding plugin-related settings, so default language for translation can be changed. I'll let you know when I do it.

For now, you can just add target language in input. I.e. if you need to translate something to spanish use how are you in spanish.
