Users upgrading from the initial 2017 open source release encountered incompatibilities with existing calls to the following procedures from their RPG application programs:

  • VALIDXREF
  • XREFNUM
  • XREFCHAR

This was due to the addition of the Date Argument parameter.

In order to facilitate compatibility, the Date Argument was modified to be an optional parameter on each of these procedures. If the Date Argument it is not provided as a parameter in the call, a date value of 0001-01-01 is assumed.
