Hello Claudio,

do you happen to still have a compiled binary of rodbtp? I can't get it compiled for a world, but I need it badly. Thanks in advance!

Hi Michal,
sorry I don't have any compiled binary, because when I developed this library was for ruby 1.8 and after that I didn't need any more.
There isn't an odbc library for ruby? because was 2009 when i did this one

Thanks for answer! ODBC isn't problem per se, but I need to use ODBTP specifically and it seems that your lib is still the only ruby binding for it :)

on sourceforge odbtp last release is from 2006...do you really can't change protocol?? you should how much time you need to make my library working and the time to change your solution. I tell you this because I will not work on rodbtp

So, the thing is I need to connect my rails app running on my linux server to a Firebird DB that is running on a 3rd party windows server. Maybe I'm wrong but the only way to do that I found is via ODBTP. I wasn't able to find a way to do it directly via ODBC. Am I wrong? Is there a direct way?

Btw. thanks so much for the time you sacrificed to answer me!
