I disagree that tor-browser-bin is a duplicate of extra/torbrowser-launcher.

The launcher is a helper to download and install Tor Browser and not the application itself.

In many countries the domain torproject.org is blocked and access to the application via other means would be helpful.

I was unaware until now that there was movement away from the launcher since version 10.5 in 2021 (here too), as I've not been a regular Tor user for a while.

I don't think torbrowser-launcher is the same as "Tor Launcher" in the press releases.

torbrowser-launcher --settings to change mirror or set to download through tor.

After collecting the opinions of some users, it seems right to add this package. It is different from the launcher, but is still worth adding independently.

Excellent news, thank you.

The only way torbrowser-launcher will work with my ISP is to use it with a VPN.

Selecting alternative mirrors in Tor Browser Launcher Settings had no effect as they also appear to be blocked.

This package will help many in a similar situation.
