Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPad Pro 10.5
  2. On what version of iOS is it? iOS 13.6
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.10.2
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Hackintosh
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)?
    Apple Lightning Cable
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?
I get a different battery percent when i am in stock mode and i get a different battery percentage when i am in jailbroken mode. I don’t have any tweak installed or mobile substrate so i know it isn’t a tweak issue.
If i charge my device to a 100% in jailbroken mode, that 100% lasts about a minute when it suddenly drops to 98%. Also when i restart my device, i get a 92-91%, which means the device wasn’t 100% charged but it was showing a 100% in jailbroken mode.

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?
Yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

Also this doesn’t happen on my iphone 7 which is also jailbroken with checkra1n. I get the exact percentage in stock or jailbroken mode.

And i know the battery on my iPad is not degraded since i purchased it a few months ago and its kind of brand new.

What happens if you unjailbreak, then restart your device, does the battery percentage randomly change?

When i unjailbreak using the checkra1n app, my iPad automatically restarts, when it opens it shows a different battery percentage

After unjailbreak, when the device is rebooted, if i reboot it again, battery percentage stays the same

I charged my iPad to a 100% and played a game for about 20 minutes and the battery was at 97% in stock mode.
if it were in jailbroken mode, It would have dropped to 87-86%. And I don't have any tweaks installed or substrate.

This is when I am jailbroke with checkra1n, the battery is at 75%

IMG_3408
This is when I rebooted my iPad and it is in stock mode, the battery is at 78%

IMG_3409
This is when I rebooted again, and the battery is same at 78%.

So I can confirm that its the jailbreak that's causing the issue.

Hey, so I completely wiped my iPad using iTunes and set it up brand new, jailbroke it with latest checkra1n but this issue is still there. Any help please it’s really annoying because my battery is draining really fast but when I reboot it shows a completely different battery %

Ok I just found out one thing, I ran checkra1n with safe mode, and it showed the right battery percentage. Then I used restore rootfs and jailbroke again, and it showed the right percentage. So does it mean it’s a problem with Odysseyra1n? (I’m using that instead of the default bootstrap from the loader app)
