I believe I'm seeing a similar issue with Chef 12.11.18 outside of vagrant (installing Chef with mixlib-install - pinned to the stable release channel). Chef log: https://gist.github.com/zl4bv/f497ee6ac7a8d557ed06139239c50d7a Executing Chef using the following statement results in the aforementioned error. However, the error cannot be reproduced with Chef 12.10.24.

which don't occur is @zl4bv's trace. Not finding the node is expected and correct behaviour. |
