@jbussdieker thanks for this addition? Isn't Amazon Linux similar to RedHat? Have newer versions also used systemd or are they using upstart only?

The Amazon Linux repositories don't have it and since the optional EPEL repositories point to http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6 I think they'll be on upstart for a while.
