Was interested in using this for a game, but saw that this repo, let alone the podsixnet2 branch, haven't been active in quite some time. Is this still viable for such use?

This project uses deprecated libraries (#46) and isn't really actively maintained any more. I would recommend using another library. Last time I checked, pygase sounded like an interesting alternative, but it looks like that hasn't been touched since 2019. It seems that trio is an actively developed async Python library with networking abilities, but I haven't touched either of those libraries, so I can't vouch for either.
