armfazh added a commit to armfazh/draft-irtf-cfrg-hash-to-curve that referenced this issue Feb 14, 2019
Changes:
 - Adds two new encodings FT and BF.
 - BF works for supersingular curves.
 - It is based on the suggested changes of
Ela B. Lee (cfrg#20) for the case of pairing-friendly
   curves.
 - FT encoding supports all pairing-friendly curves.
 - FT also supports SECP256K1 (Bitcoin curve).

Addresses: cfrg#16, cfrg#9 (partially), cfrg#39.
