Widgets Wont Start On HTC G2/Gingerbread

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download Widgets from Marketplace
2. Note that Widgets don't appear on List of Apps in Home Screen
3. Use a Third Party Explorer to find and launch them (in this case File Expert)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Received the following Error Message on launch attempt "Error: Could not launch 
application"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Battery 1.4, Cache 1.0, Cpu 1.2, Storage 1.3, Traffic 1.0, WLAN Scan 1.1
Gingerbread on T-Mobile HTC G2

Please provide any additional information below.

This could have happened because of App2D? Need information if App2Sd was used.

This can happens on phone with custom Roms that have auto install to sd enabled.
