Have something on the players health/prayer bar (or elsewhere) that says, for example, "Woodcutting", "Fighting", "Idling", "Clue scrolls".

The Discord integration for RuneLite seems to have this sort of feature already, so it might be worth looking into the source code for that to see how it was implemented!
