  1. Open Project Directory view
  2. Open your Samples folder
  3. Enter a string to search in the search bar, e.g. String1
  4. Shift+Click to select from first file to last, selecting all the files that popped, which selects the parent folders as well. Doesn't have to be a huge file count, you can have two folders, each with two wav files, then select the last wav file in the first folder, the second folder and the first wav file in the second folder, as is if Shift-Clicked to select the range
  5. Drag and drop into sampler
  6. The "Files to import" counts the folders as well. It doesn't trigger the token mismatch warning, and the "folder" gets imported with the selected samples, its path listed as FileName in the Sample Table but without any mapping (instead mapped to velocity range 0-127

Suggestions:

  • when there are audio files in the selection, ignore the selection of their parent folder (if selected) when importing.
  • when filtering samples via search, dragging and dropping the folder will only import the shown files (prevents having to select the range for large projects)
