Im following the instructions of creating kit signs. I have vault and essentials installed and yet it still doesn't convert them to KotH signs.

Can you take a screenshot of the sign and post it here? Make sure you have the koth.admin.signs permission which is not part of the koth.admin permission.

I have OP so should it matter?

It is not given to ops by default. I will think about putting it under the koth.admin permission for the next update. I deliberately did not, but I can make adjustments,
