I'd like to suggest a feature that probably might help.
At least in my case, I usually have notifications for every single tweet in my timeline, which I like to glance at as I do my stuff.
Sometimes, however, whenever I see something I'm interested in, I'd like to give a quick like/retweet, but this forces me to stop and open the main window.
So, I was thinking, would be possible to be able to do these things directly in the notifications?
In case of Retweet/Reply, they could simply open the main window where you can choose "Retweet | Retweet with comment" for the former and input the text for the latter.

It would be possible, but as you say, for RT/replies you would still need to open the main window. Right now you can right-click anywhere inside the notification, and View detail opens the tweet in the main window where you can do whichever action you want, though it is an extra 2 clicks.
