Currently the json retrieval does not work. Reason is that the github raw view is HTML and not of type json. Therefore the api needs hosting and set the media type to json.

Calling the raw page with curl and piping the response into a *.json file results in perfectly fine json.

But api is now hosted on GH pages which has some benefits:

  • shorter urls
  • better looking urls
  • no branch or commit in url
