Version: 1.8.1.2
State: Enabled
This plugin is automatically installed by Mozilla to comply with the WebRTC specification and to enable WebRTC calls with devices that require the H.264 video codec.
This is what is seen when using about:plugins in any version of FireFox web-browser on Windows x86 and on windows x64 (win 10 & win 11)
I was just wondering if you our mozilla can implement a way for our gmp plugins to get updates to fix the known bugs.

Sorry for the late reply, yes that answers one question about it getting on the media teams Alastor Wu [:alwu]
roadmap. Thou this still means that the internal update mechanism for updating gmp plugins isn't picking up that the OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems gmp component is outdated. On a side note users should be alerted to any outadate gmp components as well as outadate plugins and extensions so that general users and IT professionals (network admin) can disable them for better security. Since Adobe flashes exit Mozilla, and other gmp providers are slow on sending out fixes for their outdated media components, its just is poor security policy to allow outdate software (gmp-components) still runing on system when updated versions are out or are coming. It seems that gmp providers are becoming just as bad as Adobe due to aka Flash's high security CVE count. That is just my opinion on them not getting timely fixes out sigh. @Darkspirit
