gstreamer 1.0 stopped working properly

The viewer does not work properly with gstreamer 1.0 any more. Short samples are not audible - for instance pronunciation of an entry. Long samples - like example sentences - are played starting from some point. The beginning of the sample is silent. When playing long samples this message pops up on the console:

** (python:11546): CRITICAL **: file gstaudioringbuffer.c: line 1983 (gst_audio_ring_buffer_set_channel_positions): should not be reached

Currently installed version of gstreamer is 1.6.3. I can provide some debug information if someone tells me what could be useful.

i have the same problem. my OS is debian, just do sudo apt-get install python-qt4-phonon, then it works fine.
