Char select hangs after a versus match -> single player

repro:

1. play a versus match
2. have the losing team not continue, so winning team goes on to fight cpu

The cpu should pick a team and move on, but it hangs after it has chosen a team.

It doesn't always hang. But it often does.

this seems to repro every time

1. in single player mode, win a match
2. during second match, have a challenger come in
3. beat that challenger

When the single player game resumes, it hangs in the char select screen
