This module is precisely what we need for an event we're doing (each teacher gets a discount code and that's how we track referrals).

I installed CiviDiscount on a fresh Drupal 7 + CiviCRM 4.1.6 this evening, and I installed CiviDiscount, and it mostly works. Bug: I put in Discount: 80, and Amount Type: Monetary, and when I go through registration I get 80% discount. I tried switching to Percentage to see if they got switched, but that gave 80% discount as well. I tried a different discount code, same results.

If there's a way to hack a fix of this in the next day or week, I'm willing to play. I have experience configuring web software, but not coding it (yet).

I did test this on my local install and seems to be working fine.

Do you have any suggestions of what might be malfunctioning in my instance? Are there any details I could tell you that would help figure out what's breaking?

Patrick,

cividiscount will not and never will work with CiviCRM 4.1.6. There have been 50-100 fixes put into cividiscount plus several CiviCRM core patches. It is in good shape now but you have to use the very latest code.

You will need to either wait for CiviCRM 4.2.7 to be released as Kurund says or pull the most recent code from svn. Plus you must use the most recent commit from the project repository (e.g., https://github.com/dlobo/org.civicrm.module.cividiscount/archive/master.zip). You can't rely on the prepackaged zip files that lobo created months ago.

Hope this helps.

Keith, thanks for clarifying, now I know what my options are. And on IRC I just saw dlobo mention the intention of a 4.2.7 release for next week, so I'll figure it out from here.
