Overview

We want the users to know how to use the search so that they are not confused when they get to this page

Description

  • It is unclear what to search for or how the search bar functions and it would be best to provide examples so the end-user knows what to search for

Action Items

  • Make a mock up with the text "Search the Civic Tech Index using tags such as e.g. food, climate, unemployment, finance etc"
  • List all of the projects in case someone just wants to see what's out there, not necessarily search by a particular topic. Order by most recent activity (across the whole organization)

  • concern: The "All" drop down may start to get long. We would need to make this scrollable fixed height so it doesn't get too long/out of control

  • idea: have a drop down suggestion as you type into the search bar. Refer to image below
