Biggest feature holding me back from switching to this awesome QT4 app is
the lack of the search/filter bar.

Other than that, this thing is awesome and i look forward to seeing it
mature into what i hoped Amarok2 would be.

Yep, the one on the playlist is the one i really really want.

There are some pretty awesome features in the amarok playlist search/filter. You can
do things like 'artist:beatles OR album:raindrops' and other such things, i think you
can even do regex's in there.

I wouldnt care so much if the fancier features were missing but just being able to
load the entire collection and quickly filter it down to one artist or album or genre
is such a nice feature.

One thing I always missed in Amarok is the ability to make the library be the playlist.

Agreed! Amarok 1.4's excellent playlist search bar was easily in the top 3 things
which made it a great program. It would go a long way to making Clementine lovely.
Hope to see it in Clementine soon!

This should be done now in r957 .

It supports searches on individual fields with artist:foo, album:bar, etc.
It doesn't support anything more complicated like AND, OR, brackets, etc. - all search
terms are ANDed.

It is very good to see support for "artist:foo" like search.

But It would be perfect to have some google-like search feature, i.e. "-", "symphony -megadeth". Is there any work going on this?
