Is it possible to import music from a DLNA server?
If not: it would be a great improvement

BTW: great project, keep it up!

I found a quick workaround: I just imported the files from an smb share, this worked perfectly.
Cons: I don't have the playlists from my server and it takes very long to refresh the library

https://github.com/Boxee/djmount works okay-ish, too.

This functionality (a.k.a. UPnP) is available in Amarok (see https://userbase.kde.org/Amarok/Manual/Organization/Collection/RemoteCollections/UPnP), so I guess it shouldn't be that much work to port it over to work w/ clementine.

A better workaround to SMB (I think) is to use djmount which will make your local DLNA providers available through a fuse-mounted directory. It's available in the Debian repositories, See http://djmount.sourceforge.net/

It would also be great to have a possibility to pass multimedia from clementine to another UPnP/DLNA renderer.

@t-dan This would actually work as expected, if Rygel, the DLNA-engine included in Mint, made the DLNA device appear in the audio devices list. Which it does not for me.

What is the current status for this FeatureRequest?
Do we have DLNA support and I just can't find it?
Or are there plans?

I've heard nothing. I'm afraid I haven't done any work on this for a few years now - sorry.
