So from what I saw in the GCP data there is a percentage for the use of renewable energy.
I was wondering when looking at this page from azure:
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/explore/global-infrastructure/sustainability/#resources
It states that at the moment all of azure is carbon neutral already (since 2012). It's also using more and more renewable energy, allthough there is not a number as with google I do wonder if it's a fair comparission if for google you take the percentage of renewable energy but you don't do this for azure (and aws). If the energy consumed is carbon neutral shouldn't the emissions then also be zero?
I understand that once we go down this route the tool is going to be quite useless because everything will go to zero. So I wonder how this is being handled now, because once gcp goes to 100% renewable energy will they not be considered cause emmissions?
Would love the hear the current stance on this.
