(These "sprints" are inspired by VS codes iteration plans)

Prior Sprint: #69

Themes:

  • Invest in tech improvements / best practices
  • Journal selection improvements
  • Editor improvements

Engineering best practices

At this point the project is alive again. The lack of best practices is starting to slow me down, so time to make some investments. Also with Githubs auto-generation of release notes from PR, a proper PR flow will simplify that process

Stretch goals:

Journal selection improvements

Now that the app works more like a traditional note taking app (Evernote, Apple Notes, etc), invest into the journal selection behavior to make that a bit more intuitive:

Editor improvements

Lots of editor improvements needed. But also, the slate / plate contributors have accomplished a lot since the last dev efforts. Update those libraries, then begin making minor editor improvements to re-familiarize myself with how they work. (The next sprint will contain the key features the app needs most)

Stretch goal:

  • Add markdown mode (this is a work-around for more complex feature support)
