Using a dynamic page appears to be more reasonable, because there is only one blog anyway. Furthermore the configuration of the blog page for the RSS feed could be removed (it's a somewhat unfortunate setting). However, the greatest benefit would be the possibility to have more meaningful URLs, where the title of the article would correspond to a second level CMSimple_XH page (or maybe third level, if we add categories).
On the other hand, there have been already requests for multiple blogs, which would require to stick with the plugin call. Perhaps we can have both, i.e. a main blog as dynamic page, and optional secondary blogs via plugin calls.

Caveat: an implicit (i.e. dynamically created) page wouldn't be shown in CMSimple_XH's menus. That might not be a problem, though, since the user could create a page which redirects to the implicit page via page_params.
