Project status

I found the kernel mailinglist threads, but they seem to dead end. Has this project stalled out or is there something in the works that is not visible or I have not found?

Hey. I've tried pulling all this into the kernel, but I didn't understand what they want. From my perspective, the replies I got are more in the category of "thinking out loud" rather than precise instructions on what to change to make the patch acceptable for the kernel tree. In the meantime life went ahead, and I did not get the time or energy to invest in trying out various other ways to make them accept the kernel patch derived from this code.

However, I am currently using gnome15 together with the lg4l external module, and will continue to maintain it in-line with kernel changes as they reach my box (I'm using Gentoo's stable tree, which is now at linux-4.1.12).

When things ease down though, I'll resume my work on integrating lg4l into the main kernel tree. In the meantime, my work on a patch for the kernel tree is at https://github.com/CMoH/linux/tree/lg4l
