should be

final String authUrl = extract(properties, prefix, PROPERTIES_KEY_AUTH_URL_SUFFIX, AUTH_URL);

workaround: set urls explixitly in properties file:

authUrl=https://auth.sphere.io
apiUrl=https://api.sphere.io
