This should probably be fixed in either domify or component-convert.

component convert template.js 

will add \n to the exported string, then if you run:

var template = require('./template');
template = domify(template);

It will return an empty string "". I fixed this issue with:

var template = require('./template').replace(/\n/g, '');
template = domify(template);
