  • INF1-CL and INF1-FP don't exist anymore, they are now one Informatics "INF1A" course. But they are still distinct within the course, so we just kept it as-is.
    • This is fine. But we should probably still link to the primary INF1A course on Learn rather than the old course pages
  • For courses that are "not running", we just set archived: true on the section, and leave them in the repo
  • For courses that are no longer compulsory / are simply removed outright, what do we do?
    • e.g. PWA. Only time will tell whether people will choose to do PWA as their extra 20 credits in 2nd year — should we support those masochists?

Tasks:

  • Determine if this is all fine. Should we make changes?
  • Document what to do

+1 for just archiving things, although I'd say we need a way to make those visible within an accordion or something as opposed to hiding them entirely?

Last night I added some documentation on how to merge courses: https://github.com/compsoc-edinburgh/betterinformatics#how-do-you-merge-courses

although I'd say we need a way to make those visible within an accordion or something as opposed to hiding them entirely?

I suppose we can extend the feature mentioned in #76 to also add an "archived" section?
