post-link script obscures conda progress

This is related to #194 which i think is solved, but I'm seeing my progress getting obscured with post-link output. I've added two echo statements as a workaround.

Yes, post like is not supposed to output anything. It can, however, write to a file <prefix>/.messages.txtwhich is displayed at the end.
