I have been thinking about this. It seems inevitable that there would be a clash like this at some point. I had not run into this before because I primarily use ksi instead of psi.

For a quick work-around, you could create an alias for psi by doing PSI = psi. This will not get caught by the swap_for_greeks() function (which would catch both psi and Psi). If this approach works for you, you could then edit the structural.json file to change the key for psi to PSI to obviate creating the alias.

Am open to suggestions or other work arounds on this. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the response, and thanks for handcalcs. It’s a great library. I’m a structural engineer in the U.S. so every time I design with concrete or masonry it’s f’c =4000 psi or f’m=2000 psi or fy = 60000 psi, but it’s easy enough for me to just use ksi instead.
