Data retention opt-out when company is under new ownership

If company changes owners:

• Users should be immediately informed
• Users should have an option to opt out and remove their data if they consider necessary

I see there is a section that touches on what happens to data when the company changes owners, but there is not an option for users to opt-out after the company has been transferred.
