I'm finding a way to custom the NIC name in pod, because eth0 with ifindex 2 will trigger a bug in a very old component I use. I'm using default CNI under https://github.com/containernetworking/plugins. And the bridge plugin can work with CNI_IFNAME argument. But after I went through some containerd code, I found that this argument seems to be fixed eth0. I hope I'm wrong. So, is there a way to change the NIC name from eth0 to another or change the ifindex to another value other than 2?
