Description

After podman installation on WSL2 distribution the remote socket is set as /mnt/wslg/runtime-dir/podman/podman.sock

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Install Podman Desktop on Windows and podman machine init the podman-machine-default machine on WSL2.
Check the machine is running podman machine ssh
Run podman info , seems ok, test containers works as expected

Run podman --remote info --> unable to connect to Podman socket error

Error output:

Cannot connect to Podman. Please verify your connection to the Linux system using `podman system connection list`, or try `podman machine init` and `podman machine start` to manage a new Linux VM

Check the if the socket is available

Podman commands in the remote client are executed on the podman-machine-default machine on WSL2

This issue happens on a fresh install of the machine and client.
