This is actually more a TinyMCE error, but since it comes standard with TL I'm not sure if no changes have been applied so I'll complain with the distributer ;)

When pasting multiple lines of text copied from notepad then TinyMCE adds some divs like:
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">text here</div>

This happens in the online demo when I use Google Chrome, but not in IE8 or FF3.

I did not change anything about how TinyMCE handles pasted content. Does the issue occur in the TinyMCE demo as well?

I just tried with the exact same text and the TinyMCE demo works fine...

Could you replicate the problem on Google Chrome?

Then it must have been fixed in one of the most recent releases. Seems it is time for an upgrade to TinyMCE 3.3.

I'd like to add that I have the same problem as Vera, when working with TL 2.8.1/TinyMCE within Safari 4.0.5/Mac. No problems with Firefox/Mac. Pasting within TinyMCE is a bit tricky on the whole: extra empty paragraphs are often added. You can't work with it without using the HTML source-view, which can't be asked from end-users. Will that also be solved with TinyMCE 3.3?

I do not know. I am not the developer of TinyMCE.
