The character & in events and news titles causes the article not to display in feed

If I use the character & in events and news titles, this causes the article NOT to display in the feed.
If I use the workaround by typing [&] in square braqckets, everything works fine.
Tested with a local TYPOlight 2.8.2 (as the demo is unavailable now).

Just change the text "Associate Professor James Wilson returns" into "Associate Professor & James Wilson returns" and look at the feed http://demo.typolight.org/news.xml
