Does not allow adding gateway/hostname JIDs

Describe the bug

I cannot add a Gateway or other hostname-only JID to my roster, such as cheogram.com I always get

Please enter a valid XMPP address

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to https://conversejs.org/fullscreen.html
2. Click on add a contact
3. Enter cheogram.com
4. See error

Expected behavior

No error, the JID should be added to my roster.
