What license is the Stellar developed?

Actually, not sure. We were working under GNU General Public License but maybe MIT would be a nice fit as well. I don't think the software is at a point were we should worry a lot about it being stole and sold or something like that.
If you have a proposal, welcome!

I think that GNU GPL is good license. And I would like develop Stellar under it.
Where is MIT better then GPL?
Yes Stellar isn't in the stage for stealing or selling yet but why don't develop it under GPL right now?
